Visit the SMC Library and Celebrate! For Poetry Month, Bernadette created a book display centered around spine poetry that will display artfully arranged books based on the titles of books found in the physical collection. Participate in an online social media based activity for Poem in Your Pocket Day which is April 27th.
The Academy of American Poets started National Poetry Month in April of 1996. It celebrates poets' important role in our culture and that poetry matters. Since its beginning, it has become the largest literary celebration in the world.
